LEAP (Library Exchange Aids Patrons) was formed in 1978 and was the first automation consortium in the state. Eight member libraries share one mainframe computer containing the database of holdings. The towns participating in LEAP are East Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange and West Haven.
