to visually-impaired and hearing-impaired individuals that would like
financial assistance for college. The toll-free Federal Student Aid

It is open from 8:00 a.m. until midnight (EST) seven days a week.
Their web sites are designed for text-only access, which makes them
accessible for individuals with screen readers. Recommended sites
are the Federal Student Financial Aid homepage at studentaid.ed.gov
and students.gov, an interagency
web site developed under the leadership of the US Department of Education.
Students and parents can also request Braille copies of the student
aid information publications by calling the Federal Student Aid Information
Center at 1-800 4 FED AID (1-800-433-3243). For hearing-impaired students,
the Information Center is equipped with a toll-free TDD. The number
