The Consumer Health Information Network
This collaborative project between the New Haven Free Public Library,
the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, and Yale University provides

This award-winning site, developed by the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services, has been recognized as a key resource for
finding the best government and nonprofit health and human services
information on the Internet.
Healthnet - University of Connecticut Health Center Library's
guide to consumer health information. In addition to its own
research guides, Healthnet also includes links to numerous reputable
health and medical sites on the web. The center also provides
customized information packets for Connecticut residents.
WebMD - From
canker sores to cancer, WebMD is an informative, reliable, and
convenient resource, with answers to all sorts of health questions.
You can read about common and rare conditions, chat about them
with others online, learn which treatments and drugs to ask your
doctor about, and much more.
