Donations for memorial and honor books and other
materials are gratefully received at the Case Memorial Library.
A gift may be in memory of a deceased relative or friend, or in
honor of a birthday or personal achievement. Such gifts allow the
library to purchase items it would not otherwise be able to afford
and therefore fill gaps in its collection. Donations - You may send
a check made out to the Case Memorial Library Gift Fund OR tell
us how much you would like to spend and we will bill you later.
Notification - A letter noting the gift will be sent to the
honoree or family of the deceased and a letter acknowledging receipt
of the gift will be sent to the donor.
Book Selection - Donors will be encouraged to suggest titles
or topics to reflect the interests of the deceased/honoree. The
criteria of accuracy, quality, and integrity will be employed as
well as consideration of the items relation to the total collection.
The quality of materials shall be judged on the content as a whole
and not by detached excerpts. The search for suitable materials
may take several months due to availability and the time required
for processing.
Book Plates - Book plates provided by the
library will be inserted indicating the name of the deceased/honoree,
and the name of the donor. At the time the book is available for
circulation, a card is filed at the circulation desk under the name
of the deceased/honoree so the item can be easily located.
