Museum Passes

The Atwater and Smith Libraries have free and/or reduced admission passes to many fun and educational destinations. The following rules apply:
All passes can be borrowed for 2 days. Passes must be returned to the library where they are borrowed. Passes left in our book drop after hours are considered returned the following day. The borrower must be 18 years or older with a valid library card. Reservations are welcome up to 2 weeks in advance. Only 1 pass per family to a particular destination.

  1. Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport- Admits 2 adults & 2 children free of charge.
  2. CT Commission on Culture & Tourism - Free admission for 2 adults & 2 youth (ages 6 - 17) to:
    Henry Whtifield State Museum in Guilford Wed. - Sun. 10 - 4:30 Closed 10/31 for season
    Old Newgate Prision & Copper Mine in East Windsor - Fr., Sat. & Sun. 10 - 4:30 Closed 10/31 for season
    The Prudence Crandall Museum in Canterbury - Thurs., 10 - 4:00 Closed 10/29 for season
    The Sloane-Stanley Museum in Kent -Thurs. 10 - 4:00 Closed 10/29 for season
  3. Discovery Museum in Bridgeport- Free admission for 2 adults & 4 children
  4. Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford- Admits 1 adult paid & 1 adult free or 1 adult paid and 2 children free
  5. Mystic Aquarium in Stonington- Reduced admission for up to 2 adults & 2 children - $4.00 off adults & $3. off children
  6. New Haven Museum & Historical Society - Free admission for 4 people
  7. Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven- Pass allows $5. off up to 4 admissions per group per visit. Pass is invalid during February.
  8. Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence- Pass allows $3. discount admission for up to 4 people (any combination)
  9. Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven- Free admission for 2 adults & 4 children
  10. State Parks & Forest Day Pass - Valid part of April thru part of Oct.
    This pass waives vehicle entrance fees for 1 vehicle only.
    Valid for private passenger vehicles carrying fewer than 12 passenger    s.
    Valid for 2 adults & 4 children at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull & Gillette Castle State Parks
  11. Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford - Provides free general admission for 2 adults & 2 youth, ages 17 & younger.
